Stock Voting

Aped In Apes pick which tokenized assets the Vault buys next — flat, one Ape, one vote.

Each epoch (3.5 days), Aped In Apes vote from an approved list of tokenized stocks. The top 3 by vote count become that epoch's winning basket.

Flat voting power

Rarity and burn progression buy an Ape more of the distribution — they never buy extra votes. Governance and earning power are deliberately kept separate:

  • 1 Aped In Ape = 1 vote, regardless of its Effective Weight.
  • A holder with ten Aped In Apes casts ten votes; a holder with one ultra-rare Ape casts one.
  • Voting is only open during the last 48 hours of each 3.5-day epoch.
  • Re-voting during the window replaces your prior vote — last vote wins, nothing double-counts.

Basket split

The Vault's buy budget for the epoch splits across the top 3 winners:

PlaceShare
1st40%
2nd35%
3rd25%

This split is governance-adjustable but bounded — 1st place can never exceed 50%, 3rd place can never fall below 20%, and the three must always sum to exactly 100%. That structurally rules out an extreme configuration like 98/1/1 without a full protocol upgrade, not just a routine parameter change.

If nobody votes

The lineup simply carries forward unchanged from the previous epoch — it's never silently emptied. Finalizing an epoch's vote is permissionless; anyone can trigger it once the voting window has closed.
